Housemate is a set of resources on housing and
homelessness for primary and secondary schools across Wales
from the charity Shelter Cymru.
 Housemate
for secondary schools consists of a teachers’ guide that
is aimed at teachers of Personal and Social Education (PSE),
Modern Studies, Welsh and English. Housemate provides material
on housing and homelessness, for a range of activities based
on individual, pair and group work and supported by facts
and case studies.
It is also being used widely by those teaching Key Skills
and as part of the Welsh Baccalaureate curriculum. A printable
version of the teachers’ guide is available for download
through this site.
Housemate
for primary schools is aimed at KS2 teachers and provides
materials to stimulate discussion on housing, homes and homelessness
issues. The pack includes 24 A4 size photographs for group
work or display.
