Housing

There are over 300,000 young people aged between 16 and 24 in Wales, all needing somewhere to live. Without a doubt, having a safe and affordable home is one of the most basic requirements in life.

It’s true that it can be difficult for young people to find somewhere to live. You may face discrimination from landlords, especially if you are claiming benefits. Young people often have low incomes and no savings, which can make it very difficult to pay for accommodation. Being prepared and finding out as much as possible about housing is a good idea.
