Teaching and Learning

You do not have to be sleeping on the streets to be considered homeless. Even if you have accommodation that you are legally allowed to live in, it may not be reasonable for you to stay there. These pages give a basic of the main causes of homelessness, how to get help if you have lost your accommodation and what the Council has to do under these circumstances.

Shelter Cymru, with the support of People’s Postcode Lottery players, have produced two free advice videos that are particularly relevant to young people – ‘Eviction’ and ‘Getting help from the council if you are homeless in Wales’. For more advice and support, visit the Shelter Cymru Advice Online page.
